Dumbo NYC has been bought!

We have some news for you, readers: Dumbo NYC has a new publisher. Julia Moak, owner of Greenpointers and Brokelyn, is now also the publisher of Dumbo NYC.

Since Julia’s purchase of Greenpointers three years ago, the site has only grown. Especially now, with such a void of local news, that Greenpointers and Brokelyn can continue to grow and thrive proves communities still deeply care about and rely on these platforms for not only news but also events and opportunities. With some love and effort, Dumbo NYC will soon come to embody that as well.

While Julia comes from a tech background, she’s a born and bred New Yorker with a longtime love for quality journalism. She’s also an A+ party planner, evidenced by Greenpointers’ numerous markets, and she’ll be bringing her love of events to Dumbo NYC.

It’s been a bit quiet around here, if you didn’t notice, but you can expect Dumbo NYC to get a lot more active in the near future. We plan to make this the go to spot for tips and guides as well as general, real estate and cultural news about the area and adjacent nabe Vinegar Hill.

Do you have ideas for Dumbo NYC? Great! We’re looking for new pitches and new writers: If you’ve got something you want to write for us, email hello@dumbonyc dot com today. We’re interested in restaurant recommendations, upcoming theater events, art, historic photos, and anything else you think would be of interest to the people who live and work in Dumbo.
