Ever notice the blue cliffs rising in Brooklyn Bridge Park? They’ll soon make up North America’s largest outdoor bouldering facility.
Opening in spring 2016, the 7,800-square-foot facility can fit up to 250 climbers at a time.
Affordable as well as expansive, a day pass will cost just $9. That’s $19 less than The Cliffs at Long Island City — who are also building this project — charges at their Queens gym.
Harnesses will not be required for climbers, as the walls are relatively short. Compacted rubber mulch will be used as a crashpad beneath The Cliffs.
The Dumbo gym will be open noon to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.
