Rival gang members released automatic weapon fire at Fulton Ferry Landing Sunday morning, according to reports given by the 84th Precinct Community Council at a meeting held Tuesday night.

At 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning a man was shot in the arm on Water Street and Old Fulton Street. The 21-year-old was privately transported to Brookdale Hospital. He is now in stable condition, according to the Brooklyn Eagle.

Over 12 shots were heard by witnesses, and six bullets penetrated nearby buildings in Brooklyn Heights and Dumbo.

One bullet left a hole in a second-story bedroom window at 8 Old Fulton Street, where two children live.

Residents expressed shock and fear regarding the incident, and said it reflects increasing violence in the area.

The shots were allegedly fired from a moving car speeding down Fulton Street. Police said the violence was associated with a music video being filmed in the area.

While Brooklyn’s most expensive neighborhood — Dumbo — is not exactly teeming with crime, residents are concerned. Earlier this year, a shooting took place on Pier 2 when teens got into an argument there in the early evening.

Police said they have stepped up patrols in the area.
