51 Jay Street (current 3rd floor) to be converted to apartments

[UPDATE]: Slate Property Group and Adam America announced the “introduction of 51 Jay Street to the Dumbo community: a collection of 74 condominium homes, including six penthouses and a unique townhouse, set in a thoughtfully converted warehouse. Each residence designed, crafted and polished to a breathtaking standard by ODA Architecture. With a 24-hour concierge, children’s playroom, fitness room, rooftop fireplace, sundeck and much more, 51 Jay is truly a development that has it all.” (Please reference PDF of the press release.)

ODA-Architecture is redesigning 51 Jay Street (aka 201 Water Street), the three story former manufacturing building which sold for $45million in May 2013, according to BuzzBuzzHome. ODA posted renderings on their site (and has since requested to take down the images), and showed that the conversion will add a two story penthouse with private terraces on top. The six story building will have 85-90 74 apartments (74 condominium homes, including six penthouses and a townhouse) and expected to sell condos for up to $1,500 per square foot (according to an article from The Real Deal).
