The Spring 2014 collection of mel en stel can now be seen at it’s newly opened namesake boutique at 145 Front Street in Dumbo Brooklyn.
Shoppers familiar with Dumbo’s retail offerings might very well recognize the work of designer Ilse Eriksson, as her line of women’s wear was available at Trunk on Jay street for the previous 4 plus years.
Known for her shirts, dresses, and outerwear, Eriksson’s styles have a combined masculine and feminine feeling that indicates her Belgian heritage.
Her aim for comfort, style, quality, and timelessness is eased by working with Italian fabrics only. All products are manufactured in NYC and Brooklyn.
The new mel en stel store also supports local talent like Dorothy Fischer who knits sculptural bracelets out of sterling silver, Alfred Stadler refined bags, Sapphirebliss luxurious lingerie and more.
