177 Concord Street Now Renting

177 Concord, a new condo conversion adjacent to Dumbo in downtown Brooklyn was formerly an old party favor warehouse/factory. The building has 23 one and two bedroom condo units and was designed by Karl Fischer. While Park Avenue Developers & Management, the developer, had plans for selling them as condos, they decided to make them rentals, based on the strong rental market (according to them). It’s a short walk to Vinegar Hill and Dumbo, close to the Toren building.

According to Streeteasy, rental prices start at $2,500 and top $4,800 per month via Leah Rubin of Olympic Realty New York. Sales pricing is still on the website, and ranged from $390,000 for #1E, a studio ($746 psf) to $1,095,000 for #4E, a 908sf one bedroom ($1,206 psf) on the 4th floor that includes a terrace.

Has anyone looked at these? Thoughts?

  • I found this posting after looking up the 177 Concord address–I just happened to walk by there an hour ago. If this building is offering rentals, they better start by cleaning it up; there’s all sorts of what looks like leftover furniture, etc piled up by the windows. Also no mention of any rentals, just an old banner offering sales prices. I thought the place was abandoned.

  • They are crazy to think they can get those prices. I drive by there every day..I have NEVER seen as many people walking around that street as there are in the rendering. But then again, wishful thinking has driven this market thus far.

  • I think they have done a good job with the building. The ‘leftover’ furniture is actually furniture belonging to someone who just moved in! They just need drapes or better furniture! I love the houses on Concord and Duffield street. I live on Gold. It will be good to have more people around…

  • Seems like alow buget operation…graffity on the wall and just wires hanging out on the exterior – light fixtures are not that expensive. Which makes you wonder about future maintenance…

  • Stopped by to look at these apartments. They are clearly not finished, no heating, no wifi etc. Only some apartments are habitable. There is still a lot of construction going on in the building yet apartmemts are being rented on the promise that everything will be finished soon. can’t say I would be in a rush to move in.
