Smorgasburg Food Fair in Brooklyn Bridge Park Opens This Sunday

Wall

Beginning Sunday, September 9, Smorgasburg opens on the waterfront at Fulton Ferry Landing (next to Dumbo) at the historic Tobacco Warehouse from 11am to 6pm. The second location of Brooklyn Flea’s Smorgasburg will build on the successes of the Williamsburg location (still on Saturdays at Williamsburg waterfront) and located near Jane’s Carousel.

Approximate 80 vendors will be offering packaged and prepared foods.

The lineup includes smoked meats from Lonestar Empire, sandwiches from Landhaus, Brooklyn Soda Works, lobster rolls from Red Hook Lobster Pound, and cupcakes from Kumquat Cupcakery.

Additionally, the NY Times says: The Dumbo lineup includes Soy Hound, which will be hawking peanut butter and spicy ginger root-flavored soy milk, and the Milk Truck, serving grilled cheese made with aged Gruyère from Wisconsin. Expect to find Mile End’s signature smoked meat sandwich on rye, SlantShack Jerky by the bag and a long line leading up to Mighty Quinn’s barbecue. Expect to be asked whether you’d like your fried anchovies with or without their heads. But most of all, expect to leave full.
