The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival 2012

The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival 2012 began yesterday. The week-long event attracts over 20,000 fans to Brooklyn annually in a celebration of Hip-Hop music and culture. BHF’12 events will continue to reflect the full range of Hip-Hop culture, which spans music, film, academics, grassroots empowerment and more. BHF’12 Events will be held July 9-14th in venues throughout Brooklyn from Williamsburg to Dumbo.

Saturday (7/14) is the final day of BHF’12, a daylong celebration, Family Day or Hip-Hop programming for the little Duns goes from 12-3pm with a Freestyle Competition, African and Brazilian Dance classes, educational and social awareness activities, how-to workshops, art demonstrations and live performances.

From 3- 8pm, fans will crowd the Brooklyn waterfront to witness never-to-be-forgotten performances by Busta Rhymes & Friends. Word on the block is that it’s going to be legendary; Ka, Clear Soul Forces, Chuuwee and Fat Tony among many others soon to be announced.
