Event: Carnevale at Galapagos Art Space

Carnevale, a performance-based fundraiser, which will be held at Galapagos Art Space on August 14th. There will be a mix of musical and circus performances by some of NYC’s finest talent, including cabaret singer Mira Stroika. Circus-themed hors d’oeuvres will be served. There will be aerialists to fire spinners to cabaret and jazz performers. Carnevale was created with the intent to raise money for Arlekino Theater Troupe, a not-for-profit theater, music, art, and dance program for children in South Brooklyn ages 2-7 whose parents emigrated from the Former Soviet Union. Co-founded by Jane Tuv and Maria Dubinsky, this program was created to promote children’s cultural development and instill an appreciation for performing and fine arts.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be used to help Arlekino Theater Troupe continue to develop wonderful programs for young children, retain qualified specialists, and minimize program fees for families with limited resources.
