The Brooklyn Roasting Company Cafe “BRC” is now open at 25 Jay Street. As we mentioned in June, there is a coffee/espresso bar with light snacks and lunch at their first retail location. This location also serves as its main roasting plant and distribution center. They also specialize in repairing high end espresso machines.
We searched for the best the coffee in Dumbo by tasting many espressos, but will need to revisit the “Best Coffee in Dumbo” test after the other coffee bar opens at 14 Jay Street. If anyone has tried BRC, please comment below.

Popped in Sunday morning for an iced coffee and talked to Jim. He mentioned they’re planning on getting doughnuts from Dough Over in Clinton Hill.

I’ve been there twice now and their espresso is hands down the best in DUMBO, IMHO, of course.
agree. the kind of espresso that puts hair on your chest.

@Doug what they had going on for the first month is what is commonly known in the restaurant business as a “soft opening” limited menu, lower prices than the norm as the fine tune, tinker and bring people in to try the product and hopefully give suggestions, complaints, compliments. There is no way they could have kept the prices where they were, they were ridiculously low and the coffee is off the hook amazing…
