We received in our inbox a new rendering for 205 Water Street (as Curbed also reported yesterday) from Toll Brothers, the development company, who says, “construction of the building is progressing rapidly with the first move-ins on schedule for mid-2012.” The sales office is anticipated to open in a few months. The 67 unit condo development will start in the upper $300,000s. What do you think of the design?

This rendering kinda sucks. The lighting is weird/unnatural and why would you show us a picture of the Plymouth St side of the building??
Looks like it will cast a big shadow on 192 Water…yikes
Why are they calling this Dumbo? Isn’t it clearly Vinegar Hill? I noticed the soap factory lofts next to the electrical plants are doing the same thing. Marketing?

finally something new here in Dumbo, besides the cookie cutter interiors of the Walentas buildings which are all the same at 1 Main, 70 Wash,
ha ha you prefer Toll Bros new construction to turn of century Gair buildings- you are just what Toll Bros is hoping for.

The Plymouth side is the actual entrance I believe. The new facade looks even worse. The beige is terrible. Dumbo or Vinegar Hill it is all realtor speak.

Beige!? Oh man, puke. I thought they were keeping the charcoal raw concrete. This just looks like some kind of moderately enhanced public works building in beige.
