Summer Programs for Kids in Dumbo

What is your child doing during the summer break? School’s almost out, but you still have to work, and your kids are looking for something fun and interesting to do. It’s not too late! Right here in Dumbo there are some wonderful opportunities for kids of all ages. At 68 Jay Street (between Front & Water), Abundant Learning, The Brooklyn Bridge Fencing Club and Dumbo Gymnastics, all conveniently located on the 5th floor are offering classes and lessons all summer long. Their small exclusive classes include art, chess, fencing, gymnastics, dance, tutoring, and yoga. Make this summer enjoyable and enriching in the heart of Dumbo.

If you’re looking for a traditional day camp, there’s also Oasis Children Summer Camp, a Dumbo based company (20 Jay Street) that provides bus transportation for children in Dumbo daily to and from camp (previous post from last year). Camp registration for Dumbo residents open through June 27, 2011 (for the lower Manhattan location).
