Saw the same chicken after dark, standing stupefied, seemingly barely alive, at the water's edge under the Manhattan Bridge. Was a strange and unnerving sight.

What is the status of this chicken does anyone know? It looks like it may have escaped from a live kill spot or literally fell off the truck. It looks like it's debeaked and the feathers are a little thin around the neck.
