Filming dates: May 3-5, 2010 6am-12am
Water Street between Gold and Jay Streets
Front Street between Bridge and Hudson Ave
Anyone know what this filming of “Durago 95” is? Or is it a misspelling of Durango 95?
[UPDATE: Other signs say “Durango 95”. Also, thanks to Mediagoon, it’s a commercial: “durago 45 looks like a commercial to me…on the permit the C before the number means commercial. TV is tv, MV music vid. FF-film”]
Does anyone else out there think this constant filming is getting to be a bit much? The City has been, and will continue to allow filming on our streets if we don't speak up. Other neighborhoods have gotten themselves declared a “Hot Zone”, or somehtign similar, and the city stops issuing permits for a period of time. DUMBO had a respite like that several years ago, after locals complained. Anyone else a little tired of the constant filming?
I think Harry is just a hater. I for one love the film crews. The big trucks and the workmen lend a palpable air of excitement to the neighborhood, which pays dividends to those of us who are trying to sell our faux-luxury condos. And I don't think I am alone when I say, just the thought of having a big-time Hollywood movie star walking on these very cobbled streets (oh, I'm sorry, I meant to say Belgian Blocks, which, of course,is the proper name) … but just to think some sexy over-paid talentless hack is breathing the same air …. gives me a chill up my leg and tingles-a-plenty in all the right places. At night, sometimes I wake up screaming with pleasure, “Haddad! Haddad!”
Truman, you're working too hard at the funny. It an't working. Leave the strained attempts at humor to Loose Stools, that's his domain.
Thanks for the shout out, a little something extra in your envelope this week dumboblogger, but I don't strain, that's why they call me. . . . . . . loose stool

The other signs around do say 'Durango 95'…which means? The Ramones are back together? 🙂 or 'A Clockwork Orange 2'?!
