The MTA capital program should include passive sound cancellation for elevated tracks throughout the city.
Communities outside NYC will build miles and miles of sound barriers along highways and railroad tracks. It’s insane that elevated trains in the outer boroughs have absolutely nothing like this and often pass within feet of residences.
