Walt Disney Pictures will be filming for “Step Up 3D” on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 between 5am and 11pm. (Variety article). This will be the third film in the series following box office hits, “Step Up” and “Step Up 2 The Streets” and is set for an August 2010 release.
Filming locations:
- Both sides of Water Street (New Dock St/Main St)
- East side of Old Dock St (Water St/Front St)
- South side of Front St (Old Dock St/Main St)
- North side of York St (Washington St/Front St)
- Both sides of New Dock St (Water St/East River)
Also being filmed tomorrow (July 1, 2009) is “The Resident” (IMBD info), starring Christopher Lee, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Hilary Swank. This thriller is about a young doctor (Hillary Swank as Dr. Juliet Dermer) who suspects she may not be alone in her new Brooklyn loft and learns that her landlord has formed a frightening obsession with her.

all this filming is cool in the nabe, but i really wish they did a better job about tracking the cars they move. i doubt my junker was stolen… it was on water street right where the signs are. police have no idea, not at the tow yard. i am sure i will find it, but it sucks to get caught with no clue…

found the car. calm only because i was pretty sure the car was moved due to the movie, not stolen. my car too ended up on atlantic (same as moved comment above). in the past, biking a few blocks in the nabe reunited me back with my rig. this time: 3 hours of looking myself plus at least an hour waiting for the police was more then i should have to bear. filing a complaint that i am sure will get me millions in reparations. not.

As of 12 midnight it’s a wrap. Lots of ample parking out there now. Better run out in your jamies and move the Forester.
