  • You forgot this rental at 1 Main:

Don’t know about you, but I’d love to part with $216,000 a year to listen to the sweet sound (and sight)of the MTA rumbling across that pretty rusted blue bridge.
A couple of months ago, they were asking $20K.
    But, hey, nice ‘Japanese toilets.’

  • If it is anything like 133 Water, the building is soundproof. I live at 133 Water and my windows look right out onto the bridge. I can hardly hear the train at all.

  • the windows at 1 main are not soundproof, unless the unit owner opted to install soundproof windows. from the pictures provided, it doesn’t look as if they did, nor is it mentioned in the sotheby’s listing. the noise factor at 1 main is not a problem in the front of the building, but the back of the building is very close to the train and this apt looks as if it is almost eye level. besides, at 133 water i doubt very much you’re paying anything close to $18,000/month. that’s preposterous, even with stainless kitchen, tile floors, bidets, and fabulous views of the train.

  • Oh certainly not paying that much. I am acutally surprised that for something asking that much, they didn’t soundproof the building.

  • I’ve been in several of the apts at 1 Main and the noise has never been an issue.

Now, as for the agent who’s listed on the page…
