Order Your Thanksgiving Pies from Almondine and Bubby's

Thanksgiving holiday is coming up next week, and two places you can get your pies in Dumbo are at Bubby’s or Almondine Bakery. We took the above photo of Almondine’s pies today and the pecan and pumpkin pies look delicious. Put in your order by Monday or you’re out of luck!

From NY Daily News:

At the popular Dumbo bakery Almondine, there’s a fabulous pecan pie ($24 for a 9-incher) and a French apple tarte tatin (puff pastry with caramelized apples, $18 for a 9-incher). Order deadline is Monday, Nov. 19. The pies may be picked up from 7am-6:30pm the day before Thanksgiving. 85 Water St. near Main St., Brooklyn. (718) 797-5026.

  • I’m a sous chef and lived in Paris for 10 years, and I can say that Almondine’s pastries are excellent, and comparable to bakeries in France. Their croissants and baguettes are always made fresh.

  • Love Almondine too. Definitely one of the top 3 pastry shops in NYC.

  • I worked at Almondine as a cashier for about three months. Herve makes all of his pastries by hand, and a FCI trained staff bakes all the breads daily. Everything is always fresh, and often you get your baguette or croissant and it is still hot. He also donates anything that is left over at the end of the day to a soup kitchen, so there definitely isnt anything left over that could be considered “stale.” He even makes his jam from scratch, and on a fresh baguette, there isnt anything better in the city.
