Event at PowerHouse Arena: A Wee Craic Festival

SAT 9.22 A Wee Craic
Powerhouse Arena/37 Main St. Dumbo/7pm/FREE with sugg. donation INFO.
The Fleadh Foundation is gearing up for its 7th annual A WEE CRAIC FESTIVAL that showcases the best of award-winning Irish short films and music. The festival promises to deliver a night of craic – the Irish for “a good time” with complimentary drinks by Pabst and Reyka vodka. Festival attendees may even be able to continue the “good time” after the festival ends with a “Win a Trip” to Ireland contest.

Laura Izibor, Meteor Award winner and Atlantic Records artist, brings her unique take on soul from Dublin to an all-star line-up of local acts: Mr. North, Michael McGlone, Dan Donnelly, and Brendan O’Shea. Speaker Christine C. Quinn and Senator Marty Golden are scheduled to speak, with local Irishmen and board members Aidan Quinn and Kevin Dillon scheduled to attend.

Held at DUMBO’s Powerhouse Arena, A WEE CRAIC is also a benefit for the Irish Labor Immigration Reform (ILIR). A WEE CRAIC is a one-night offshoot of the larger three-day music and film festival The CRAIC held every March in NYC.
