1) “Emotion of Africa” by Anne Foudral at Henry Gregg Galllery

There is a reception for the artist, Anne Foudral, today from 6-9pm at Henry Gregg Gallery at 111 Front Street, #206. “Emotion of Africa,” a show that documents artist Anne Foudral’s move to the continent and the subsequent personal transformation that the trip inspired. Music will be provided by The Lois Loren Quintet. The show runs through October 27.

2) Eight Photographers Examine the Landscape of the Brooklyn at Nelson Hancock Gallery

Photographers Tim Connor, Rebekah Farley, Michael Iacovone, Michael Itkoff, Eve Mosher, Michael Piazza, Michael Simon and Torrance York are featured in a show called “Topos: Brooklyn” that opens today at the Nelson Hancock Gallery at 6-8pm at the gallery, 111 Front Street, #204. The show runs through October 20.

3) ‘Fabulous Finishes’ at Gloria Kennedy Gallery

‘Fabulous Finishes’ is an international exhibition of ceramic art that epitomizes unparalleled surface decoration and inimitable glaze techniques. Featured artists include Kim Acerra, Mindy Andrews, Kim Ashley, Paul Boucher, Barbara Broadwell, Shanna Fliegel, Edgar Franceschi, Anna Velkoff Freeman, Gloria Kennedy, Helen Nottage, Vince Palacios, Sang-Joon Park, Stephanie Rozene, Barbara Scavotto-Earley, Hunter Stamps and Lydia Thompson. The exhibition runs from September 12, 2007 through October 27, 2007.
