1) Brooklyn Bridge Park: Strange Fruit Productions’ Swoon!

What: Australia’s Strange Fruit Productions presents Swoon!
When: Saturday, July 14 at 4:00, 6:00, and 8:00 pm.
Where: Lawn, Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of Brooklyn Bridge Park

Australia’s Strange Fruit is a Melbourne-based open-air performing arts company that produces and performs a remarkable style of work that fuses theater, dance, and circus, using the unique elevated medium of sway poles. For their first U.S. tour, the Company will present Swoon! – a 20-minute performance where four daredevil Australians tell a spectacular story of love, loss, joy and freedom up on high. Performance will take place on the lawn of the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park section of the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

2) Underbridge Pictures: Opening Reception for “Summertime”

What: Summertime – Oil Paintings and Photographs of the season by Robert Goldstrom, Clinton Irving Jones, David Sokosh and Ella Yang.

3) Vocalist and Composer Lola Danza Performs with Bob Moses and John Lockwood

Lola Danza celebrates her project Nadu featuring legendary drummer, Bob Moses (drummer of Jaco Pastorius, Pat Metheny, John Scofield, Keith Jarrett, Charles Mingus, Herbie Hancock, Bill Frisell and many others) and bassist, John Lockwood (bassist of Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, Dizzy Gillespie, the Fringe and many more) with visual artists: painter Jacqueline Chachitz and installation artist Meaghan Bates perform Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 8pm at the Water Street Lounge.
