Fresh Seafood Purveyor Wild Edibles Coming to Foragers Market

Dumbo has one of the best pizzas in Grimaldi’s, New York’s tastiest chocolate at Jacque Torres, New York’s best baguette at Almondine Bakery, and one of the freshest ice creams at Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory.

It may be able to add the best seafood to that list. Wild Edibles, voted best fish market in NYC by Zagat, will open a counter within Foragers Market (56 Adams Street, Dumbo Brooklyn) later this week. Anna Castellani, owner of Foragers Market continues to supply Dumbo with gourmet and fresh foods. They will have 10 feet of back counter space and will offer a variety of fresh seafood and prepared foods at competitive prices. This is great news for fresh seafood lovers in Dumbo Brooklyn. Wild Edibles is active with sustainable fishing organizations and guarantee the origin and fishing method of all of their seafood. They are known for their exceptional fish and provide wholesale seafood to New York City’s best restaurants such as Alain Ducasse, Le Bernardin and Union Square Cafe.

  • When I used to live in Murray Hill, I went to Wild Edibles all the time. The people are really nice and knowledgeable, and of course, the fish is fresh! They have a lot of variety in the fresh fish and shellfish selection, as well as nice salads and ready to cook options. They will fillet a fish for you or steam a lobster as well.
