October 2nd, 2010
For those who are wondering, the Belgian blocks replacement on Water Street has finally begun after a 15 month restoration project of the water and sewer mains. The photo above is by Josh Derr, who says, “Good news for everyone who thought our streets were to be eternally paved over with asphalt. Rebuilding of the belgian block surface on Water street has begun, marking the beginning of the last phase of street construction for this section of DUMBO.”
