Barber Shop “Coming Soon” to Dumbo

Barber Shop coming soon

We saw this earlier this week on Pearl Street in Dumbo (between Halcyon the Shop and Dumbo Muffin (the cafe). This could be good news for men who are looking to get a haircut in the neighborhood. Salon de Quartier is the other hair care option in Dumbo, and caters to both men and women.

Also, the Dumbo Muffin cafe is moving to the space a few doors down to expand once the renovations are completed. According to a tip from a reader, they plan on acquiring a license to operate a bar and may rename it to “Archway Cafe”.

    I just got my hair cut there today. All all-around terrific haircut with friendly service at a great price! I'm making it my new barbershop.
    This is a great and needed addition to the neighborhood.

    I am writing this on behalf of my co-worker -- "I just opened an office in DUMBO a few months ago and was surprised that there was not a barber shop in the area. Robert gave me an excellent haircut and was very friendly and professional. I would recommend this place for any guy that is looking for a step above the traditional barber without paying ridiculous prices. I definitely am going to make this my regular place."

    Hi. I would like to share this info with you guys this barbershop in dumbo is a very professional and pleasant place to go. I brough my two boys there yesterday, Robert the barber did a very nice haircut . My kids loved it. Go there and you will not be disappointed.

    I have been waiting for an authentic barber shop in DUMBO for over 3 years now... FINALLY I FOUND MY NEW SPOT. This guy comes with amazing experience, and adds a wonderful razor finish with a hot towel massage. Not only will you leave happy... you actually feel refreshed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

    They just opened yesterday (7/22/10). I think they're called Barber On Pearl. I got a great haircut for $15 and they even threw in a free shave. I'll definitely go back.

    Said they are opening "next week" (week of July 19th). Heard it is just more than haircuts and will have a couple of manicure stations and shoeshine.

    i have been getting my haircut from the guy that is opening this shop for months..he works at a place on Clinton St in Bk Heights. he's great, remembers what you like, now i just sit and he does his thing, no need to specify. its an old school place, no fanciness, just a good cut, fast and inexpensive ($15ish..) great addition to the neighborhood.
