Recent Dumbo Retail Info and Tidbits

Below are a few updates on Dumbo businesses we’ve Tweeted recently. While some items are cross-posted on DumboNYC.com and on Twitter, smaller news items may not be on the DumboNYC site. If you have a Twitter account, follow us @DumboNYC to get the latest Dumbo news and tidbits.
1) Looks like 5 Front is being converted into Brooklyn Bridge Gardens, a beer garden. twitpic.com/1intzh (Twitter post and also discussed in a previous discussion thread).
Update on 5 Front Restaurant conversion: The sign now says that the restaurant/bar will be opening next week.
2) PS Bookshop moved out of their 141 Front St. location. New location @ 76 Front to open in mid-May. (Twitter post)
3) Clothing retailer Brooklyn Industries offices moving to Dumbo – 20 Jay St in July (Twitter post). Brooklyn Industries will take 12,000 square feet of office space in Dumbo on the 11th floor. See Crain’s article.
4) Macy’s July 4th fireworks on Hudson River again in 2010. Brooklyn loses out. (via @NewYorkology (Twitter post)
