Today’s Buzz and Choice Dumbo to Open This Week

Today’s buzz in NYC is mostly about the incoming snowstorm and the estimated 4 to 14 inches of snow it will bring tomorrow. The NYC public schools are closed tomorrow (Wednesday), only the third snow day in 8 years.
The other buzz is about Google’s announcement that they are entering the world of social networking called Google Buzz, something many Dumbo-based media and technology companies have been pioneering.
Also, Brownstoner reports that Choice Market Dumbo is ready to open this week on the corner of Jay and York Streets. Looking at the interior, they have put a lot of effort into creating a space where people can not only grab a quick bite to eat but also a place to meet and hang out. The dark wood and ceiling look great. We’re looking forward to another food option in the neighborhood.

Love this place it has a beautiful atmosphere and the food is awesome! The desserts are to die for – especially the coconut cake !!! '
JUST noticed too – they are now open until 11PM and serving beer and wine!!!!
