TrustoCorp Street Art in Dumbo
January 11th, 2010
Street art posing as construction signs popped up around Dumbo Brooklyn on Friday. Some of them have already been taken down. They’re by street artist “TrustoCorp”. They are clever signs intended to mimic official city signs at first glance. They’re amusing and carry a funny message or words of reality (“Life is Too Short”, “It’s okay to play with Yourself”, etc.) More photos on DumboNYC TrustoCorp Flickr set.
Other TrustoCorp signs in other cities can be seen on the TrustoCorp Flickr page.

Hi from Athens Greece… Happy and honored to “meet” you… Please allow me to ask: is it possible to share some of your posts at my page in Facebook?

Are those signs suppose to be clever or “artistic” ? Looks like something a 14 year old or a Jersey Shore guy would wear on his T-shirt.

+1 fu, anything with the whiff of “art” is embraced in Dumbo these days. Anything that characterizes Dumbo as something other than the towhead infestation it has become.
I am loose stool

Can we just cut and paste the last ninety debates defining art in here now. I'm willing to bet Trustocorp doesn't take himself too seriously.

Not much thought had gone into these. Had to be expensive to make. The wit is missing.

You know, if these lame signs were in Bayridge, we would laugh at how stupid those meatheads are, but somehow in Dumbo its supposed to be “artistic”.

fu, calm down, just because you're out of touch with street art doesn't mean you have to get all mad about it. at least trustocorp is doing something dope
