Egg Baby is opening their first retail location at 72 Jay Street (at Front Street), as Brownstoner noted last week. They signed a lease in the space, which started out as a pop-up shop earlier this year. The permanent retail store will officially open in the fall. However, the pop-up store will re-open shortly. The store will feature their entire collection of baby and toddler clothing and accessories, their new maternity line, organic bedding crib sets, organic basics, and the debut of their new diaper bags. Egg is also planning on expanding their product line to include maternity, beauty, and others. According to Egg Baby’s website:

“egg baby uses natural fabrics with clean, simple designs- with no bows and ribbons in sight. now the whole family can enjoy egg too – with the introduction of egg maternity and egg beauty (coming soon!)”

The space will also accommodate events for parents and kids including educational workshops and entertainment. Congrats to Egg Baby!

On Washington Street between Front and Water Street in Dumbo Brooklyn. [UPDATE: Filming for this production is occurring on almost every street in Dumbo.]

Aug 2 (Prep) and August 3-5., 5am-11pm.

According to a Twitter post, the filming is a SpikeDDB (55 Washington St) commercial for Rocawear…Starring Jay Z presumably.

The above is a cool photo of Dumbo Improvement District’s annual benefit event that took place on August 1, 2009 at The Archway under the Manhattan Bridge in Dumbo. This was the first time the event took place outdoors. The blog i’m not sayin, i’m just sayin took this one from the 155 Water St building and has more photos from the event. DUMBO Fight Night 2009 was a fundraiser for the Dumbo Improvement District & The Archway.
