lineup = “…zzzzzzzzzz…”

I have to agree with you generic. I am a huge fan of hip hop but this whole lineup is snoresville. Just because we are in a recession doesn’t mean that the festival have to reflect on it too. I mean damn, last year, the lineup was crazy but this year, it sux. It’s either no names or old MC’s tryna make a comeback. But some of these white people like music that black people don’t listen to anymore.

I’m white, am heavily involved in music but can’t stand hip hop, and have never heard of any of these artists. This festival should go elsewhere, it’s not even worth the effort much less the wear and tear on the park.

i love hip hop but it’s true state and city parks would be so much more pristine if it weren’t for all the people that use it for events and stuff. same with the dog runs in the neighborhood, love my rover but i don’t even know some of these other hounds, would be much cleaner if it weren’t for all the pets wearing it out all the darn time.

Yngvie, why can’t you stand hip hop? Is it because it is something that black people have excelled in? And another thing. That park is nothing but a big a$$ canopy and some walls. Not a damn ceiling in sight. It couldn’t do anymore wear and tear to that park than what is already done.

I never said anything about black people. I have no problem with black people whatsoever. I just personally don’t like hip hop because of the way it sounds. The only time I get remotely close to hearing something in that vein I like is when it’s funk based and that usually ends up being a sample.
As for park wear and tear, I was talking about the damn grass.
