On Thursday, April 23, Digital DUMBO is having their fourth event at Dumbo Arts Center (30 Washington Street) from 6:30 – 8:00pm. Digital DUMBO was created with the thought of bringing together the digital minds of DUMBO to connect, network and share ideas.
This month features David Skokna (founder, partner and creative director at HUGE, a interactive studio based in Dumbo) who is giving a 15 minute talk entitled: “Blood, Sweat and Fear: Doing Business in DUMBO”. Taking a look at how the area has changed and why he thinks it’s a particularly good area for creative types, David will explore the ways current designers can launch themselves toward major success. After building such websites at Jetblue, IKEA, NutriSystem, About.com, Scholastic and Readers Digest, he certainly knows his stuff.
HUGE was founded in DUMBO in 1999 and is located in 45 Main Street.
