Roast Beef Sushi?

Dumbo-based mag Heeb (profiled on DumboNYC in November 2007) posts the above image of roast beef sushi from a certain Dumbo deli on their blog today. I’m all for Asian fusion food once in a while, but some things just don’t go together. Agree with Heeb, big FAIL.

That’s interesting. I won’t knock it until I try it, but I guess I wouldn’t buy it if I saw it. I’ve seen weirder combos like cream cheese and salmon sushi roll.

Total FAIL. But awesome find.
Cream cheese and salmon (the Philadelphia Roll) is delicious. But this Sizzler-esque sushi should really be called something else. Maybe sushit?

its similar to korean style sushi (kim pop) where they put bulgogi meat in their rolls. its actually delicious..

roast beef is nothing like bulgogi. that piece of turd pictured above is nothing like kim bop.
