Full CB2 Votes Yes on Rezoning of Dock Street Dumbo
January 14th, 2009

We received word that tonight’s Community Board 2 meeting to vote on the proposed rezoning of the Dock Street Dumbo project was approved; 30 yea, 7 nay, 1 abstention. While this is a big vote of confidence for Two Trees, the CB’s recommendation still needs to be reviewed by Marty Markowitz (borough president), the Department of City Planning, the City Council and the mayor’s office. More at Brooklyn Heights Blog.

So they vote yes on sweeping changes to Dock St, but vote no on some poor smuck’s application for a liquor license because he might turn Sleepy Dumbo Hollow into a “gin mill”. What a bunch of fuctards.

Right on! About time.

seems like CC is the only place this possibly gets nixed from here on out. even assuming full approvals i’d be surprised to see 2 trees start work here for a long time. any idea how long this will take to make it down the full chain?
agreed with LS re liquor license. but he says it better than i could.

Amazing that the members of this community board who vote for this rezoning have ignored the blatant criminal activities of Two Trees regarding this project:
1) Illegal Asbestos removal of the Nova Clutch building without notifying the exposed residents and passersby. Does the Board care about this?
2) The sudden disappearance of the easement building next to Nova Clutch whose air rights were used as a blackmail to block those residents’ air rights to purchase Nova Clutch from Boymelgreen. How could a 100 year old building with proper building approvals suddenly lose it’s easement.
3) Would be interesting to note the names of the Yes voters and investigate any bribery or Qui Pro Quo activities they may have with Two Trees.

jp, it is typical of the paranoid to manufacture lurid and far reaching plots to justify a life wasted blogging and masterbating. I’m sorry.

Dear eric: My friends call me “sunshine”. Both of them. You sir can eat the peanuts out of my sh*t.

kudos to JP and Eric, with the $180,000.00 PR gig of Two Tress to buy every vote possible (CB2 members, business tenants of Two Trees businesses getting lease/rent discounts, and loose stool and def #16 and #17 who are Two Trees assistants etc.), everyone prostitute’s for their own good. But my admiration for the resident and non-resident protesters ( 10,000 signatures right!) and the neighborhood associations (DNA, Fulton Ferry, BHA) for their dedication and vision in protecting the dignity of Brooklyn and NYC without vested interests. We still have visionary politicians (hopefully, David Yassky and Marty Markowitz) who share the same vision as the citizens of this wonderful neighborhood, Borough and city do. BTW, I live in Tribeca and have always admired the historical significance of Dumbo. Please keep it that way.

Gloria von Thurn und Taxis, if that’s your real name, ignore me at your own peril, you Nazi whore you! If it wasn’t for Walentas there wouldn’t be a Dumbo. Read,”Luke, I am your father!”. Dumbo is a mere shell of what it was 10 years ago. Now it’s a middle level currency traders warren with colored nannies pushing their overshot bastards up and down Front st. looking for crack rocks. I moved to BK because I could kick back, pop a lud, urinate in the street. Now I take a dump in the park and somebody offers me a baby wipe and a degradable bag for God’s Sake!

“You sir can eat the peanuts out of my sh*t.”
downright poetry. where do you come up with this stuff? i would’ve gone with corn but peanuts definitely make more of an impact.

My dear “Tatiana is back!”. Did you know that
“can not” is spelled “cannot”? I suspect the space you left is equivalent to the space between your eyes.
Finishing Move?!?! I say Nudality!!!

ok now u kidz are just being silly.
Personally I’m not losing any sleep over the fact that a check is not coming my way. My opinions are my own and like the CB which voted 30 to 7 in favor of this project, my concern is for the future and for the children of the borough and for the public’s greater good. A great thing about the NY I grew up in is that we make room for everybody. That is what sets us apart from most of Gingrich/Bush country. The class bias so on display on this blog and others will not win the day here in NY.
This school will be an inspiration and a jewel in the NYC public school system. I’ve asked you before and I ask you again to share these streets, to share your wonderful views of this magnificent bridge and the harbor and city it graces with the children of Brooklyn. These young minds deserve these vistas every bit as much as all of you.

davoyager, you are a breath of fresh air in an otherwise fartless blog. Why should we reserve views of the bridge for the underemployed so they can ponder the meaning of their coddled lives until Oprah. Seriously, to keep Dumbo a virtual backwater, so close to Manhattan is laughable. This neighborhood will be very different 50 years from now for those unlucky enough to still be wandering around in your unitard wondering where to park your Segway. Her royal highness Bloomburg will still be mayor, patting himself on the back for something somebody else did, I predict.

That “pathetic” comment was not actually me. Some cowardly creep just used my name. That is really sleazy.
January 17th, 2009 at 7:49 pm
So davoyager, does that mean you’re not a breath of fresh air?
January 17th, 2009 at 11:13 pm
no stool. somebody posted that “you are pathetic” comment fraudulently using my name. I want Hideyoshi to permanently ban him/her based on their email. There must be some kind of rule against posing as someone else on these blogs. My email is davoyager, has been for 20 years and all the other davoyager comments here are mine. I appreciated your support by the way.

Back at you davoyager. Everybody is up in arms over the poor blacks running wild through the streets. The last time I looked there are more poor people living here then the nouveau riche recently to the manor born. I swear, these people are so tight assed they could turn a turd into a diamond.

Birds of a feather.

To paraphrase JFK, Ich bin ein loose stool. I am pleased as punch that “loose stool” is now a movement (yes I know, a bowel movement) as opposed to a solitary person.
