i’ve read these comments enough to know that, underneath all of the petty hostility and childish name calling, there are quite a few resourceful people on these message boards. here’s a challenge for someone: can someone drum up any real numbers showing just how many movies/tv shows/commercials/etc have been shot here in, say, the last year? two years? if you’re really good, you’ll throw in a column for photo shoots as well.

Why should anyone bother to satisfy your curiosity? Look it up yourself.

I’m not normally one to complain about the filming, but,take a look at all of the parking spots in Dumbo “and” Brooklyn Heights they are taking up. Its beyond reasonable.

so basically, i am proven right — all a bunch of nasty, mean, pu**ya*ss f**kheads on these comments. i hope you all get gonorreah. i thought maybe someone might know how to find that information quickly. i guess i should have realized what a total f**kface i was for even asking. you all honestly need to get lives. if it wasn’t so sad, it’d be almost funny how you’re all such losers. can’t wait for the next d**kbag comment, once again proving my point.

homework, my apologies for the mean comments. This blog seems to bring in snarky folks, so don’t take it personally. As for filming in the area, there have been so many in the past year or two that I’d guess that either the NYC govt or the Dumbo Neighborhood Association keeps this data somewhere.

@homework
In addition, there’s filminginbrooklyn.com which keeps tabs on various film shoots here in Brooklyn.
A google map marking filming in the neighborhood (something like the window-smash map someone did recently) would be a useful resource, especially if it could be somehow tied directly into the Mayor’s Office of Film et al data. In fact, if I have some extra time I’ll see if I can code something together…
