Brooklyn Eagle Claw Kung Fu Opens This Weekend
August 2nd, 2008

[UPDATE: Aug 2011 - Brooklyn Eagle Claw Kung Fu moved to Greenpoint Brooklyn. See BrooklynEagleClaw.com for the latest news.]
After several years of space sharing and park hopping, Brooklyn Eagle Claw Kung Fu is proud to announce a new permanent home in Dumbo. Brooklyn Eagle Claw is dedicated to teaching martial arts to the entire family and specializes in the unique style of Ying Jow Pai (or Northern Eagle Claw Kung Fu). In their school, they aim to make it fun and simple, to learn in a relaxed environment to help you reach your goals, as well as understand the techniques and how to apply them in real world self defense. Eagle Claw is an 800+ year old style consisting of empty hand forms, partner forms and weapon forms. It is most famous for its 108 locking techniques. The eagle claw kung fu hand becomes an eagle’s talons and is used to apply joint locks and attack pressure points. Whether your goal is to learn this art to improve the condition of your body and mind, train to be a certified instructor, or something in between check out their many programs that will fit your needs.
