Ugly Betty Filming in Dumbo on Tues, July 8, 2008

ABC Studios will be filming scenes in Dumbo Brooklyn for the third season of the show, UGLY BETTY. Film crews will be in the area on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 between the approximate hours of 6:00am and 9:00pm.
In order to facilitate filming, there will be no parking beginning, Monday, July 7, 2008. The streets affected will include:
Please note: Cars left on these streets after 8:00pm Monday, July 7, 2008 may be relocated to a block nearby by the NYPD Tow Unit.

i agree with great, way too much filming in dumbo compared to other neighborhoods. Plus the amount of streets they take over.

I’m going to let my dog crap on their stuff from now on when they’re blocking my route. Screw them, I live and work here, friggin interlopers. This is RIDICULOUS!

While there is a bunch of filming right now, its not uncommon in other parts of the city as well. When Law & order is in production, parts of the Lower East Side and Gramercy Park can look like a Hollywood backlot. Irving Place especially can be impossible some days.

Well, I really get a kick out of it and I live there. There is nothing cooler than seeing the neighborhood on the little or big screen. And I dunno, isn’t it good for property values to have the world think of it as a quintessential NYC neighborhood?
Plus, some of those chicks are like totally hot.
