I agree and what’s even worse is not one but two businesses in the neighborhood have apparently given them odd jobs of handing out flyers for them. One of those crackheads ignored my declining of the flyer and stuffed one in my bag anyway while I was walking down the street. Come on people, a little professionalism goes a long way. I’ll think twice before patronizing either business now.

i agree with loose stool…how can street art be effective if it doesn’t, even indirectly, create more street art? i just heard about this movie that’s supposed to be all about street artists and like their explosion in nyc. i just found the website–it’s http://www.beautifullosers.com. can’t wait for it to come to ny!

brooklynlove is right, the very nature of grafitti spawns more grafitti. I was kind of surprised the previous wall wasn’t targeted. I think most grafitti artists are resigned to this. You all should be worried about important things like dog shit smears and recycling cans on the corners. Oh, and the broken window in the liquor store.

This was a beautiful wall that deserved respect. Shame another graf crew probably did it. If you stand in front of it you can see how much work went into it. And fatass and Laura, you all should care, that was free art in an otherwise lackluster street.
