I find that a "herd" or maybe "slow stampede" mentality develops when there are large groups of riders. I wonder where they learned this? Maybe while driving their cars; especially on highways. There the mentality is "the road is mine- get off it or die...pidgeon, cat, raccoon, deer, bicyclist, etc. The no parking sign comment is definitely valid.
