According to a story by Brooklyn Daily Eagle, Imagine Early Learning Center has leased the ground floor space at the Beacon Tower at 85 Adams Street. The 3,753 sq ft space had “specific needs in terms of lighting, air, egress conditions and licensure requirements” according to Petar Videv of A&I Broadway Realty, who handled the transaction. Dumbo has grown in population and with gentrification comes young families, so a day care center is a much needed service for these families. Imagine Early Learning Center also has a location in Brooklyn Heights.

Peter, I’m sure you’re no picnic yourself. Comments like yours are a waste of space.

Me thinks you need a thicker skin Dumbo mom. Your desire to censor Peter is a bigger waste of space. Its an anonymous blog not a conversation in your livingroom.

Anyone know what’s holding this daycare center up? The lease is signed, but no sign of construction at the site almost 4 months later. Is it knee-deep in licensing and permits? Now I know some on this blog would rather have anything but daycare here, but I could really use a daycare center right about now. And Peter, as far as Dumbo moms go, I think they’re wonderful.
