GalleryQB Opening Reception for Doug Groupp (06Dec2007)

GalleryQB is presenting the work of Brooklyn-based artist Doug Groupp with an opening night reception on Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 6pm-9pm at GalleryQB (163 Plymouth Street). The exhibition will run through Feb 3, 2008. The exhibition, titled “I Didn’t Know You Had a Head Until You Got That Arm Attached To It” is a collection of silk-screens on canvas and one of a kind collages on paper. Mr. Groupp’s work “combines the seemingly disparate elements of 1950′s based nostalgia, idyllic childhood whimsy, superfluous everyday objects, Native-American mysticism, and even modern industrial design to create a cohesive and arresting collection of iconic pop imagery.”
