Dumbo Landmarking Calendared for 30Oct2007
October 1st, 2007

While we’re on the subject of DNA, they have updated their website to include details about Dumbo’s proposed landmarking. There is a public hearing for landmarking on October 30, 2007 (originally scheduled on Sept 18 and pushed back) at the Landmarks Preservation Commission. While landmarking designation of Dumbo has been calendared, the DNA website stresses that “it is very important that as many DUMBO residents and property owners as possible turn up to testify in support of designating DUMBO“. There’s a lot of updated information there, including details on Dumbo’s inclusion on the National Trust list of most endangered places in the US and the Dock Street Development.
