Walk Around Dumbo Using Google Maps Street View
May 29th, 2007
Google Maps released their new feature called Street View this morning, which allows the viewer to virtually walk the streets. The service is currently available in 5 cities:
- San Francisco, CA
- Las Vegas, NV
- Denver, CO
- Miami, FL
- New York, NY
Street View also includes every street in the Dumbo area. To access Street View, go to maps.google.com (or just click on the map image above), then search for an address, and click on ‘Street View’ to turn on this feature. You can view any streets that are outlined in blue. You can even walk over the Brooklyn Bridge and the Manhattan Bridge. The view is 360 degree viewable. Check out your building and surrounding buildings in the area without leaving your home.
