Hide,
Thank you for such a terrific synopsis of the evening's events.
Thank you as well for posting the quote from David Yassky with his pledge to support Landmarking, and to help DUMBO achiveve historic designation withing a year and a half. As a community, we may need to support and encourage our Concilman to keep this goal a priority.

Regarding Nova Clutch and other proposed development that would close off the waterfront and reduce proposed park land - I encourage people to contact the DNA and get involved. Community groundswell is powerful when it is organized and directed. We welcome any residents who want to work on the community's behalf, and we offer guidance and support. I repsectfully remind people that change, and acheiving the results you want, will not be effected without your efforts and commitment to becoming involved and active in the community.

Thanks again to our generous sponsors and to all the great folks who turned up at the meeting last night. I hope all of you will join the DNA (visit our website ) to support our efforts, and I hope to meet some new people who want to become more involved at our next meeting!

Couldn't make last night's meeting. What was said about the Two Trees plan for the Nova Clutch site? Is there a enough of a community groundswell to influence the project?
