This seminar is designed to help artists and arts organizations of all disciplines learn the steps to becoming a nonprofit organization and the process for seeking federal and state tax-exemptions. Federal and state issues covered in the seminar include: articles of incorporation, bylaws, Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and corresponding regulations, and unrelated business taxable income.
