Time Warnet Cable Outage This Weekend

Time Warner cable and internet connection was cut off this weekend between Sat (2/3) 3pm and Sun (2/4) at 5:30pm in several buildings on Washington Street. Anyone else in Dumbo have their cable cut out? It’s a good thing they came back up in time for the Superbowl or we’d have their heads on a platter.

Our building was indeed affected by the outtage. TWC customer service was completely disconnected from the field, which was frustrating on both ends in terms of trying to get an ETA of when service would be restored. Luckily, it came on at 5 pm in time for Superbowl. I felt bad for local businesses who I am sure lost business as locals made plans to travel to other venues where cable was restored.

Worse things could happen (like the heat going out), but it was Superbowl Sunday. I thought about going to Water Street Restaurant to watch the game, but they were apparantly affected as well. Good thing service was restored when it did.
