Lou Reed Played Berlin in Dumbo Brooklyn
December 18th, 2006

Richard Perry/The New York Times
Lou Reed performed his album Berlin at St. Anne’s Warehouse in Dumbo Brooklyn for 4 sold-out days (Dec 14-17) this past weekend. The frontman of the Velvet Underground, Reed performed the album start to finish for the first time ever. Berlin was originally released in 1973 but didn’t sell until it became a cult favorite in the late 1990’s.
NY Times called the performance “touching” and “theatrical.” Did anyone else check out the concert?
