Now the zits, in the form of humans, arrive!

Seems as though this is a case in point as to why DUMBO needs historic status. If nothing else hopedully this swarm will mean more street traffic and hence more businesses. As long as the new residents aren’t too cheesy.

The very fact that it’s Brooklyn ought to cull out some of the douchebaggery from the incoming. Because, you know, the REAL Masters of the Universe couldn’t possibly be anywhere other than Manhattan (thank goodness).

Not many Masters of the Universe will consider Bklyn. However, some are recognizing that there’s more to offer here than their initial opinion of Brooklyn. On another note, we welcome new residents, but it’s going to be tough to find parking around here. I hope the Dumbo BID is anticipating this surge of cars to the area.

many of the new buildings have parking garages underneath.

And many of those parking garages are going to be very expensive… like $250/month and up.

I already like Rascal just for the wonderful use of the word “douchebaggery”. Well done.
More cars in the area would blow. The many outdoor parking lots are as much of an eye sore as the brutal condos. There should be a scooter only law in NYC.
I’m all for new residents/foot traffic to help local business and get some more needed shops in the area. Hopefully the new blokes are good folks.
