There is just not enough foot traffic to sustain such businesses in DUMBO. Most of the local businesses started out (and some still are) heavily subsidized by Two Trees. A pharmacy is totally necessary... but I just hope the prices aren't insane. Given that we now have about five grocery stores, you woud think that someone might have made a go of it by now. Yes, there is a huge opportunity for furniture/design stores but it would be great to see a local pharmacy (so I don't have to go to montague) or small hair salon.
