DOT Reverses Story on No Parking Sign
September 2nd, 2006
It turns out that yesterday’s story on the mystery no parking sign is no mystery. The DOT says it is an official Department of Transportation sign and Dumbo residents whose cars were towed will not be getting their fees returned, according to a NY Daily News story. It’s amazing how the DOT just changed their stance after claiming that they didn’t know how the sign appeared. According to the NY Daily news story, the DOT will be surveying streets in the Dumbo neighborhood to see whether any parking restrictions can be eased.
